on August 6th, 2010Thanks for all the wonderful pictures. We really appreciate all these glimpses of student life. It is hard to decide what to look at: the students’ smiling faces, or the background views of Bhutan and India behind them.
Best wishes to all on their half-year exams, and good luck to all the visitors traveling to and from Jhamtse Gatsal.

on August 7th, 2010Good luck on exams! Take a deep breath, get some rest and all will go well. In the US, we are always hearing how smart you all are.
And a special hello from people in Concord, Massachusetts to Sangey Drolma (I love that photo of you!).

on August 7th, 2010Break a leg, kids! Now, now I don’t mean it literally :)
(This is just another way to say Good luck, although it’s mostly used in theatre and acting. Did you know it is considered bad luck to say Good Luck to actors? Well, now you do… So, the next time you have a cultural event, remember to say Break a leg and not Good luck or Best of luck to each other!)
My very best wishes for your half-yearlies. I am sure you all will do really well. May the force be with you! (We’ll talk about this one another time.)

on August 9th, 2010Please let all the children know how proud we are of all their hardwork and tell them to enjoy the holiday after their exams.
Also, please let the teachers, Ama la’s and staff know that we greatly admire all that they do to make Jhamtse Gatsal such a uniquely special place.
Congradulations and Tashi Delek!
