half year examination started

The Jhamtse Gatsal children are going to take their half-year examinations. The examinations started on the 3rd and all the students are busy preparing to show what they learned during the past six months.  They all hope to get top marks and maybe even be first in their grade.

Jhamtse Gatsal, Tibetan for “Garden of Love and Compassion”, is a children’s community located in the Indian foothills of the Himalayas. Opened in 2006, it is currently school and home for 74 children from disadvantaged family situations in the nearby villages.
