The blog is up! Welcome to Jhamtse Gatsal Children’s community: a peaceful place where children grow like flowers in a garden of love and compassion! Jhamtse Gatsal is a unique place in the foothills of the Himalayan mountains, a community where everyone is learning — we are starting this blog to further that learning: to share what’s happening in our community, and as a project that everyone can participate in – students, teachers, staff, visitors, and volunteers. We are a busy community, full of life and activity and good news….come see!

About Our Community
Jhamtse Gatsal, Tibetan for “Garden of Love and Compassion”, is a children’s community located in the Indian foothills of the Himalayas. Opened in 2006, it is currently school and home for 75 children from disadvantaged family situations in the nearby villages. Read More...
