		<description>I can think of two reasons that the algae cover may not have grown:  (1) because we may not have left the system running and sand covered long enough (unlikely), or (2) that the water may not have sufficient biological impurities to promote the growth of algae.  I beileve that we should test a water sample for coliform bacteria and other biologicals.  The engineer at Lumla ought to be helpful to this end.  If it tests fine, then it is drinkable.

Also I am interested to know if the water is coming out of the outlet more clear (less suspended particles) than it is going in.  If so, we are working just fine.</description>
