Why do we tell stories?

I think that people have something special that makes us think. We like to listen to stories because stories make us happy and not bored. From telling stories to each other, we can share our knowledge. I think stories are a great thing. All people love to listen to stories. Telling stories and listening to stories is natural. By listening and reading stories of different types of countries, we also gain knowledge of tribes of different countries.

Here’s some insightful reflection from Class VIII’s very own Phurpa Lhamu, responding to our opening of an English-Science mini-unit on origin stories, which we’ve been delving into from various angles for the last week. More soon! In the meantime, why we wonder about how the world came to be:
